Corinthians, a Brazilian Soccer Club, made a 10-year contract with IBM to advance its stadium technology. It will be the first Brazilian and Latin American team to discover digital renovation abilities with a 360-degree method on and off the stadium. The club believes that the main advantages will come by 2019. In this ride, Corinthians wishes to transforms its fans’ experience by providing deep understandings to its technical employees and the coach.
IBM will assist in advancing and managing the complete Corinthians Arena’s information technology atmosphere with rational delivery abilities by deploying third party systems, IBM’s “Fiel Torcedor” loyalty platform hosted on the IBM Cloud, and its Services Platform. IBM will also look after legacy systems, will be refined and modernized, for example, management of their ticket selling and fan program system, and the present entree gates in compliance with FIFA standards.
Currently, more than 117 thousand fans have registered in Corinthians’ “Fiel Torcedor” program, and it is projected that the Club has over 33 million Brazillian fans. Through this digital renovation, Corinthians believes the number of fans registered in their loyalty program will double in the coming 18 months, due to the latest services and products.
Corinthians belongs to the best Brazilian clubs, have won seven national titles, 29 state championships (which is a record), and three Copa do Brasil trophies. According to Forbes, it is the most valued American football club and it is also the most widely supported squads across the globe.
